16 Days for Dadeville!

On Saturday, April 15, 2023, gunshots devastated a Sweet 16 birthday party in the small town of Dadeville, Alabama, with a population of about 3,000 people. By the end of the evening, four young people were killed, and 32 others were injured. Five young men were charged in the tragic case. So many young lives forever changed.

Trinity Richards, a cheerleader at Pike Road High School in Montgomery County, was shot four times, including a near-fatal shot to her head. Trinity's mother has told Women in Training, Inc. board members that her beautiful daughter is off the ventilator and able to speak; however, she has a long therapy and recovery process ahead.

The WIT Board of Directors, inspired by our 15-year-old founders, Breanna and Brooke Bennett, who felt moved to help Trinity, have started a 16-day fundraiser on behalf of Trinity's family. The fundraiser runs from May 1 to May 16, 2023. Funds raised will be donated to Trinity's family to help cover uninsured expenses related to her therapy.
