Become an Inaugural WIT Member to Help End Poverty. PERIOD!

Our mission is simple: End Poverty. PERIOD!

In a world overflowing with resources, we believe every human being can have plenty of nutritious and delicious food, secure and spacious housing, excellent healthcare, global education ... and a bounty of menstrual products and education, and reproductive freedom. We invite you to join our mission to end period poverty globally by becoming a WIT Member!

We learned three years ago when we were 12 that there are girls who “spot” on their clothing because they cannot afford sanitary pads, she was very sad. “That’s not right,” Brooke told her twin sister, Breanna. “Every girl needs menstrual items to stay clean and healthy during their period.” Together, we started Women in Training, Inc. (WIT), a youth empowerment organization. WIT’s signature program is the WITKITS Campaign to help alleviate period poverty among the 25% of American young people who skip school or miss work because they cannot afford period products. In 2022, Republican and Democratic lawmakers -- both women and men -- were instrumental in the creation and passage of Alabama’s new “period poverty” law, introduced by our shero, State Representative Rolanda Hollis. The law allocates $200,000 to the Alabama Department of Education to provide grants for menstrual products to students in Title I schools. Alabama is only the seventh state in the nation to have a mandate to provide free period products to students. Governor Kay Ivey publicly signed the bill into law in April 2022. Thank you for supporting our advocacy for this new law!

We are taking our mission nationally and internationally! So far, we have donated 18,000 WITKITS, valued at $50 each, to families in Alabama, Louisiana and Washington, DC.
